Why I played it...
I have been looking forward to Kendall Payne’s new album for some time and it is the centre piece of tonight’s show. Starting with Irish brothers Luka Bloom and Christy Moore was because Luka has a new album out (though this track is from last year) and is playing in Belfast next week – 27th. I also featured One Hundred Hours (Derryvolgie Hall 7.3.05) and Dan Wheeler (Exodus 12.3.05/Derryvolgie Hall 14.3.05) for the same reasons. Kendall took us on a journey of what an upside down life it is to follow Jesus (Pray) and then how we need to stand against the tide and follow (Stand). Willy Mason has just entered the Uk charts with a subversive song of radical living and Derek Webb’s album has been preaching at us for weeks. Delirious? and U2 were to close with some inspiration to go out and do the business...
