BBC Radio Ulster - Rhythm and Soul
The casual listener might think that Rhythm and Soul is just another loud rock show. The music is dynamic, there is live performance, there are breaking and established bands.
Then the guy with the records starts to speak! You can listen to the programme live from this address, or if you prefer you can listen on demand. Click on the title or on the logo to find out how.
Greenbelt
Greenbelt started life in 1973 as a small pop festival run by Christians. About 1,500 young people turned up. It caught on very quickly and grew to have nearly 30,000 attendees in the mid 80s when it was an annual rallying place for thousands of youth groups.
A seminar programme developed and then more and more types of art, so that today it is a broad arts event (though still with a lot of pop & rock music) with a large component of talks and worship focusing on expressing Christianity in contemporary culture.
